 Request for Expressions of Interest for Prequalification

 Design and Construction Works, Market Redevelopment ,Malu’u, Malaita Province

Subcontract: SIIP/06/PQW1

The Solomon Islands Infrastructure Program (SIIP) is an Australian partnership with the Solomon Islands Government, which aims to improve the quality, accessibility, sustainability, and inclusivity of economic infrastructure in the Solomon Islands.

Cardno Emerging Markets (Australia) Pty Ltd (Cardno), a DT Global company, is implementing the Program on behalf of the Australian Government.

SIIP has agreed to assist the Malaita Provincial Government to improve the existing market facilities at Malu’u.

The redeveloped market will provide improved economic opportunity in the province. The health and safety of vendors, particularly women will also be enhanced through the provision of improved facilities.

Accordingly, the Program is now calling for suitably qualified building contractors to express their interest for the design and construction of the proposed redevelopment of Malu’u Market, Malaita Province.

This application process is open to companies that meet the criteria detailed in the pre-qualification documentation and can demonstrated ability to do business in Malaita Province.

Those companies that prequalify will be invited to submit tenders for the contract for the Design and Construction Work, Malu’u Market at a later date.

Interested firms are requested to register at tenders@siip.com.sb for a copy of the pre-qualification documentation. These documents are provided free of charge.

Pre-qualification submissions are to be forwarded electronically by 1700 hours (5pm Honiara time) on Wednesday 31st August 2022.
