INDEPENDENCE 43RD ANNIVERSARY MESSAGE

FROM: The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure Development, Honourable Manasseh Maelanga (MP), the Permanent Secretary, Management and Staff.

To: His Excellency the Governor General, the Prime Minister and his Cabinet Ministers, Leader of Opposition, Member of Parliament ,The Churches Leader ,Chiefs ,Elders and Community Leaders ,all Business Houses ,Aid Donor ,NGOs, members of the Diplomatic Corps and to the people of Solomon Islands.

It’s my joy and privilege as DPM and Minister on behalf of the staff of Ministry of Infrastructure Development ,to wish all Solomon Islanders ,all visiting friends and many friends of Solomon Islands living and working in Solomon Islands and overseas a Happy 43rd Independence Anniversary.

This year is a challenging year, as we experience this COVID19 threat to our beloved Nation Solomon Islands. Yet we rejoice and thank the almighty for the success we have attained as a nation .On the troubling days ,the nation has seek His divine Grace and wisdom, to direct on how we can navigate our nation to overcome the challenges and survive.

It is my prayer that we would all reflect on the past 43rd years and gives glory to God for all the blessing we have received and thank Him for all opportunities he has given us to learn some valuable lessons.

With God guidance we can keep Solomon Islands Independent and progressive by being responsible citizens.

Let us celebrate & enjoyed the freedom to live independently in our country peacefully under God’s guidance as we build our nation Solomon Islands.
