Name of Project: Construction of Herbarium Drying Shed

The Ministry of Forestry and Research invites interest eligible Contractors to submit tenders for the Construction of a Herbarium Drying Shed at the Botanical Garden, Rove water Pump area.

Full details are provided in the attached Technical Specifications, Schedule of Activities and Drawings.

To be eligible for evaluation, a tenderer must meet the following criteria:

• Be duly registered under SIG Law
• Have a Tax Identification Number (TIN) issued by inland Revenue
• Maintain a bank account with any bank operating in Solomon Islands
• Not be subjected to any Blacklisting or restrictions toeligibility as per tender instruction to tenderers

In addition to the eligibility requirements detailed inthe tender document, to qualify for award of the tender contract, tenderersshall meet the following minimum qualifications:

• An average volume of similar work equal to the tenderprice in the last five years
• Experience as prime contractor in the construction and successful completion of at least one project similar in nature and complexity in the last three to five years.
• Able to provide or acquire (by own, lease, hire etc.) the essential equipment required to complete the repairs and maintenance
• A construction manager with two years’ experience in works of similar nature and volume
• Liquid assets and/or credit facilities, net of other contractual commitments and exclusive of any advanced payments which may be made under the contract, of no less than 20% of the tender price.

Bidding will be conducted through the Competitive Tendering procedure specified in the SIG Financial Instructions 2010 and the Procurement and Contract Administration Manual 2022 and is open to all eligible Tenderers.

The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive evaluated tender.

A complete set of Tender documents in English may be obtained by interested Tenderer at the address below upon payment of anon-refundable fee of $150 at MOFT.

Tenders, comprising the documents identified in the Instruction to Tenderers (ITT), and following the requirements of the ITT, must be delivered to the address below at or before 2:00pm Friday on the 19th of July 2024.

Tenders shall be valid for a period of 90 days after the deadline of Tender submission. Late or incomplete Tenders will be rejected.

All completed documents must be clearly marked with the name of the project & project reference, and delivered in sealed envelopes addressed to;
