INVITATION FOR BIDS

The Climate Change Division of the Ministry of the Ministry Environment, Climate Change, Disaster Management and Meteorology invites interested eligible Tenderers to submit Tenders for the two (2) Lots of Construction and Installation works as itemized below.

1. Project Name: Low Carbon Emission Project.

A. Tender Number for LOT – A: MTB C-05/22

I. Construction of a Cold Storage Facility building that will accommodate the following:

• A roof-mounted 20.4kW PV array
• Battery Storage space for VRLA
• Power Conversion Equipment for a Stand-Alone PV with Battery Storage System,
• Brine Ice Making Machine.
• Dual Temperature Cold Storage Rooms, and
• Water Storage

II. Produce an electrical wiring design of power supply lines and controls (if need be) for the different loads inside the Cold Storage Facility building.

III. Construction of a Dual Temperature Walk in Cold- Cold Rooms (Freezer and Chiller Compartment), and

• Compartment 1 – Freezer Room (Curing of Blocks and Meat),and
• Compartment 2 – Cold Storage for Fresh Vegetables and Fruits

IV. Installation of an Ice Making Machine that produces approximately 500KG of block per 24 hours.

B. Tender Number for LOT-B: MTB C – 07/22

1.  Design and Installation of a Stand-Alone PV with Battery Storage Power System for the Cold Storage Facility at Tauba.

 2.  In addition to the eligibility requirements detailed in the Tender document, to quality for Award of the Contract, Tenderers shall meet the following Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience in the installation and construction of at the least one (1) successfully completed work of similar nature and complexity in the last three (3) years;
• Able to provide or acquire (by own, lease, hire, etc.)the essential equipment required to complete the works;
• A Construction Manager (Engineer)/ Foreman/ Supervisor with at least two (2) years experience in works of similar nature and volume; and
• Be in possession of a Solomon Islands electrical contractor’s license (either the head contractor, or sub-contractor within the bidder ‘steam must have this),
• All bidders must comply with the Instructions Stipulate din the Tender Bidding Document,
• Late submissions will not be considered,
• Interested bidders can bid for either Lot-A and Lot-B or any single Lot as prescribed,
• Bidders for both Lot-A and Lot-B do not require tender biosecurity,
• The purchaser may not consider alternative bids, and
• Be aware – any attempt by a Tenderers to influence the award of the tender in favor of any Tenderer will lead to disqualification and may lead to criminal proceedings.

3. Tendering will be conducted through  the SIG Standard Competitive  Tendering Procedures, and is open to all Eligible Tenderers as defined in the Tender Documents.

5. Tenders must be delivered to the address below:

At or before 2:00 pm on Friday 22^nd at the MECDM-Climate Change Office, City Center Building, Point Cruz before the due time at 2:00 pm.

Electronic Tendering shall not be permitted. Late Tenders will be rejected.

6.Tenders will be opened physically in the presence of the Tenderers Representatives who choose to attend in person at the MECDM HEAD OFFICE, Advanced Technologies Ltd, shortly after the due time at 2:00 pm

Tender Envelop is to be marked with the Tender Number and the Tenderers Name on the outside of the envelop and Tenderers must ensure they fill in the Lodgment Register at the

MECDM Climate Change Office, City Center Building, Point Cruz, upon the submission of the tender.

8.The Ministerial Tender Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all of the Tenders
