Engineering Opportunities – 2 x Mechanical Fitter

The Solomon Islands Electricity Authority Trading as Solomon Power invites applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill 2 x Mechanical Fitter positions.

The Mechanical Fitters will undertake the effective operation and maintenance of the plant and equipment in the Power Station.

Both position roles will report to the Team Leader Mechanical Services at Solomon Power – Lungga Power Station.

Both are full-time roles and the incumbent will ensure:

• Effective operation and maintenance of plant and equipment in the Power Station
• A healthy, safe, and OHS-compliant Solomon Power
• Environmental protection is prioritized at all times
• Solomon Power’s image and value standards are demonstrated at all times.

Qualification: Preferred –Certificate in Mechanical Engineering – Heavy Plant

Experience:

• At least 3-5 years as a senior engineer in a relevant field
• Accurate and correct reporting skills both written and verbal.
• Analytical skills and ability
• High customer relations service skills
• Excellent command of English(written and oral)
