Solomon Islands Electoral Office: TEMPORARY ELECTORAL

TEMPORARY ELECTORAL POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

In preparation for conducting the 2024 Joint Elections (National General Election, Provincial Assembly and Honiara City Council Elections) the Solomon Islands Electoral Office (SIEO) is seeking to recruit temporary polling officials to support the Electoral Commission in delivering the Election exercise throughout the country.

The temporary polling officials must not be actively involved in supporting a candidate contesting the elections and must remain apolitical and impartial in performing their roles.

The following positions are now open for interested applicants:

Applicants must:

i. Be a Solomon Island Citizen

ii. Confirm independence, and impartiality, and currently not contesting in any National, Provincial, or Council election.

iii. Be fit and healthy to deliver the duties.

iv. Free of any police charges

Documents required.

2. Copy of highest Educational Certificate, and

3. At least 2 reference letters.

All parts of the application form must be completed.

Depending on your response you may be asked to provide a full medical or police report.
