Vacancy: Games Administration Manager

The National Olympic Committee of Solomon Islands (NOCSI) / Pacific Games Association of Solomon Islands (PGASI) is the Games Member Association of the Pacific Games, Commonwealth Games and Olympic Games. Team Solomon is the combined team of Coaches, Athletes, Managers and Entourage from many Solomon Islands National Federations who compete at these multi-sport games.

NOCSI role is to establish an effective & competent leadership team to lead Team Solomon through their games campaign.

A General management Team (GMT), who report to the Chef de Mission (CdM), are appointed by NOCSI/PGASI to oversee the entire games campaign.

Key leadership roles are identified to meet the administration, management and performance services needs of the members of Team Solomon. Each role has a pre task, during and post games function and responsibility.


  • Oversee all administration tasks associated with supporting the Team General Manager (TGM)
  • Provide updated information reports or correspondence through to the GMT.


  • Responsible for check in / check out on departure or arrival at airport
  • Responsible for and Coordinate arrival and check in and check out procedures at any transit countries
  • Manage the financial aspects of costs on behalf of the Team General Manager
  • Liaise with the Games Coordinator to ensure all passports and visas are valid prior to final dates required.
  • Oversee the entire team online accreditation process
  • Oversee the entire sport entries process
  • Be the point of contact for sports and GMT in tender, design, ordering and distribution of team uniforms
  • Complete all reports on administrative areas related to Team SI during and post games
  • Ensure that the Team SI office is staffed at all times to attend to Athletes and Official admin and finance needs by implementing a staff roster
  • Provide admin support to all sport meetings
  • Liaise with GOC on any ticket issuing that is provided
  • Follow up all team managers for their respective daily reports to update the Team General Manager

Undertake other duties as may be directed by the TGM


  • The Candidate must make a commitment to attend all meetings as requested
  • Must be available for the entire duration of the games campaign
  • Must abide by the team code of conduct and set an example for other members of Team Solomon

  • Tertiary qualifications in Sport or Business Management
  • Qualifications in IT, HR or Office Administration

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Strong ethical standards and be absolute trustworthy with information, finances and communication
  • Demonstrated experience in sport management in a games environment
  • Evidence of approach towards a values driven and energetic team culture
  • Personal and professional integrity and accountability
  • Highly developed work ethic and energy level

  • High level communication skills (including interpersonal, written, negotiation, and representation)
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships both internally and externally with a diverse range of stakeholders ;
  • Highly developed reporting and documentation preparation

  • Demonstrated analytical, planning and time management skills to deliver outcomes within critical timeframes
  • Demonstrate understanding of high-level financial management skills
  • Demonstrate knowledge of games operations, processes and management.
  • Understanding of game rules and regulations
  • A comprehensive understanding of games times responsibilities that can drive performance
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar role
  • Previous Games and elite level competition experienced highly desired.
