The National Youth Congress is seeking for a Finance and Administration Manager.

 Required qualification:

1.Relevant accounting, finance and administration qualifications and a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar

 Desirable Experience and knowledge

2.Demonstrate high competent computer usage, excellent MS Office and administration skills and fast learner of computer   accounting software and knowledge of MYOB is

3.Previous experience in similar roles

4.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to liaise with groups and organizations

5.Sound analytical ability

6.Ability to meet strict deadlines

7.Knowledge / understanding of project management methodologies


Manage, administer and monitor the progress of National Youth Congress Financial position with respect to administration,  acquittals and reporting to the General Secretary. In carrying out this responsibility, she or he will undertake the following duties:

1. Ensure effective and transparent administrative and financial accounting systems are in place and adhered to for reporting the  Congress’

2.Liaise closely with relevant authorities on the reporting requirements and to put in place the necessary systems and   procedures to comply with these

3.Prepare and submit to the General Secretary narrative and financial

4.Keep proper records of all project activities and

5.Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reconciliation of actual to budget expenditure and as

6.Ensure project activities spending are monitored

7.Administration of project management system and

8.Development and maintenance of templates /documentation

9.Management and usage of the selected financial accounting software

10.Lead with general accounting and financial reporting responsibilities including production of monthly reconciliation reports,  audit preparations, other project reporting, trial balances and financial reports, raising payments and salary processing.

11.Assist with NYC meeting preparations and arrangements


•Report to the NYC General Secretary operation from 60 days of the end of financial

•Prepare annual human resource management plan (including staff training and development) and annual budgets for review   and approval to the Committee at least 60 days before the start of the financial

•Collect and compile annual and irregular reports and gender-and age- disaggregated information from members on their   activities, participants and memberships.

•Based on report and data assist to prepare a draft Annual Work Plan for the Secretariat for the Committee’s review and

•Accountable and answerable to General Secretary on all matters relating to NYC

•Manage NYC assets (monies, property and accounts) as instructed by the General Secretary and the Constitution; report   monthly to the General Secretary within 10 days of the end on all of the NYC’s income, expenditures and balances during the   report month, and on anticipated future 3 months of income and expenditures; ensure the NYC’s accounts are independently   audited, and each year’s audit report submitted to the General Secretary within 60 days of the end of each financial

•As assigned by the General Secretary, represent the NYC and young people of Solomon Islands in National, Regional and  International seminar, conferences and forums;
