Ministry Of Public Service: Recruit Graduate Trainee

The Ministry of Public Service is looking to recruit Ten (10) Graduate Trainees who are highly valued, qualified and have a genuine interest in working with the Solomon Islands government. This is an opportunity provided to outstanding graduates who have the strong desire to learn about the public service governance and with a spirit of service, aspire to directly serve the government and its people. Successful applicants are offered Level 6/7 salary with a comprehensive training development as part of their work with the Ministry of Public Service.

Key Duties

Graduate Trainees are required to undertake the following duties:

•Support in the implementation of Government Policies to respective divisions within Ministry of Public Service and the Ministries they directly engage in for efficient service delivery across the service.

•Assist the different divisions to ensure that key deliverable is delivered within the approved time frame.

•Actively participate in the range of work activities with task force and working groups in various division in the Ministry of Public Service and across Government Ministries.

•As required assist actively in the delivery of divisional work plan initiatives and event to ensure ministerial mandates are realized.

•Attend and successfully complete the IPAM’s induction training package including knowing your public service and code of conduct.

Qualification Required

•Graduate with a minimum of Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Administration, Management, Industrial Relations, Economics, Sociology, History and Political Science, and Law.
