A warm Independence Day Greetings and joyous 46th Independence Anniversary celebrations.

On 7th July 2024, Solomon Islands has reached its 46th year of independence.

A country that is home to all of us. Our co-existence has been our symbol of unity as we journey on into the future.

Let us remind ourselves to stay united with renewed commitment and collective efforts to ensure that each Independence Day holds us together and is worth celebrations and cherishing.

We have a national responsibility to salute our National Flag which symbolizes the pride of our people.

As we celebrate, let us pay homage to those before us who have made ultimate sacrifices to help us to unite, overcome challenges and failures, build, accomplish growth and greater partnerships.

As a country we must think long-term, set goals and remain united to more and more achieve our common aspirations.

As the Ministry responsible for the development and extraction of our Natural Resources Sector we are vigilant and pledged to give impetus trust to fulfil the mandate of the National Government for greater contribution to the Socio-economic development of the country in line with the GNUTs policy.

Improving the social and Economic Wellbeing of all Solomon Islanders through sustainable exploitation of our minerals, energy, petroleum, and water resources identified by using geo-scientific surveys.

Mission:

• Strive for service excellence ensuring it abides by high ethical standards, is proficient in its service delivery and, promotes professionals throughout the Ministry to ensure sustainable use of our resources for the improved social and economic wellbeing of our people, and to create an ability to address natural geo-hazards.
• Also continually strive to be an exemplary public service institution respected for its adherence to principles of good governance, impartiality and fairness in its public conduct at all times.

As we continue to grow let us not lose sight of seeking Divine Intervention to underpin sustenance, protection, unity and development of our beloved Solomon Islands.

We need each other at all level be it in the community, churches, provincial, the private sector, Non-state actors, the National Government together with our friends, the regional and international community to achieve our common goals.

Together we can work as partners and build a safe, prosperous and united Solomon Islands.

Our allegiance and renewed efforts to promote peace, prosperity, unity, love, respect, harmony, resilience and growth must remain as the cornerstone of nation building.

We must acknowledge our Almighty God as the source of wisdom, strength and guidance throughout our coexistence, development and progress.
