47TH INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY MESSAGE FROM THE MINISTRY OF COMMUNICATION AND AVIATION

His Excellency the Governor General, Sir David Kapu Manetiva & family, Honourable Prime Minister, Jeremiah Manele & Family, Honourable Speaker of Parliament, Patterson Oti & family, The Chief Justice of Solomon Islands, Sir Albert Palmer and family, Honourable Ministers of the Crown, Opposition Leader, Independent Leader, Members of Parliament, Constitutional Post Holders, Diplomatic Corps and Donor Partners, PrivateSectors, Business Houses and Non-Government Organizations, Honiara City Mayor, Provincial Leaders, Community Chiefs and Church leaders, and all goodcitizens of Solomon Islands.

The Ministry of Communication and Aviation wishes to extend this year’s anniversary greetings to all Solomon Islanders, both at home and abroad, on the occasion of our 47th Independence anniversary of our nationhood.

The Ministry would also like to acknowledge and reaffirm our sincere commitment and dedication to the partnership with our national leaders, church leaders, chiefs, women leaders, communities, and youths for your support to our development programs to improve connectivity, accessibility safety of the Telecommunication and aviation services to our Islands.

We are also indebted to members of the private sector, our development partners, non-government organisations (NGOs), civil societies other stakeholders for their continuous support and contributions to the growth of the Telecommunication and Aviation sectors in our country.

Finally, as we celebrate our national day, let us rise and overcome our challenges as one people.

Let us work hand in hand to ensure Solomon Islands is a safe and liveable place for all Solomon Islanders, guests, visitors, and more importantly, our future generations, by upholding the sovereign laws of our beloved nation, whilst looking forward to tangible development with unity, peace and prosperity.
