Independence Day is an occasion to commemorate and reflect on the struggles, sacrifices and confidence of our fore fathers whom bravely fought to give us the many gifts of sovereignty.

We compliment them for their wisdom and heartfelt passion for us be one nation Solomon Islands.

The commemoration of this 43rd Independence Anniversary celebration, let us all acknowledge our contributions as legislators, Policy makers, Policy implementers, NGOs, SOEs, Private Sectors, Financial Institutions, Development partners, national and provincial governments, Chiefs, community Leaders, Churches and stakeholders as citizens of Solomon Islands, in progressing and prosperity of our country for the last 43 years.

Ministry of Home Affairs in its vision to address good governance and development aspirations of its citizens, it commits to provide and deliver the “efficient and effective services for an optimum Socio-Economic Wellbeing for our people”.
