VACANCY NOTICE NO: CPG /02/21

POST TITLE: DEVELOPMENT PLANNING OFFICER

TASK DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Analyses specific socio-economic development aspects for the short term, medium and long term provincial development plans and programs
2. Monitor, analyses and report on the execution of the provincial development programmes and on the provincial development expenditures on a quarterly basis.
3. Compiles, maintains and update statistical data on key economic and social indicators for the social-economic development status of Choiseul Province.
4.  Assist in and coordinate the preparation, formulation, implementation and monitoring of provincial development plans and programs including the development budget;
5. Assist in and coordinates development planning training workshops for provincial divisional heads;
6. Undertake research and analyses of development strategies and development policies and provides inputs or possible option for adoption by the provincial government.
7. Participate in any economic development review team on provincial development issues as and when necessary
8. Undertake other task as may be directed from time to time by the chief planning officer (Province)

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES.

i. Must be computer literate

iii. Good management and planning capability

iv. Analytical and able to submit timely report when required, quick to understand, consistently sound and reliable.

Qualification.

• Minimum of Diploma/Degree in urban planning/Development and/or related fields;

• At least five (5) years’ experience in related fields.

AGE LIMIT

• Must be between 20 – 45 years of age

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• Salary Level – 6/7

• Annual Salary – $40 148.34 to 47805.20 per annum

• Fortnight Salary – $1,544.17 to 1838.66 per fortnight

• Annual Leave – 36 days

• Housing Allowance – $160.44 – $191.04

• Other Conditions of service as stipulated in the agreement of service on appointment.
