He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities, surely he bought our sorrows, by his stripes, we are healed, and by his blood, WE ARE REDEEMED.

Ministers of the Crown, Leaders of the Opposition and Independent Groups, Members of Parliament, Provincial premiers and your members, the Honiara City Mayor, and your councilors. Heads of resident Diplomatic Missions; Our Development partners and stakeholders; Private Sectors; and Non-Government Organizations; Church Leaders and Village Chiefs Our rural and urban farmers with their families, and the people of Solomon Islands.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock team wishes to extend our heartfelt greetings to you all this easter and most of all, our deepest Easter greetings to our committed hardworking farmers around our beloved country.

Easter is the most joyous season in our Christian calendar as it emphasizes the importance of forgiveness and hope. It is a time to celebrate the most important words of our faith. Christ Has Risen. Let us draw strength from these words.

Christ death and resurrection is the message of hope for humanity, it offers an eternal life after death for all humanity.

As we celebrate this Easter, let us make a decision to be more determine to support our nations recovery from the impacts of the corona virus pandemic that is causing death, starvation and declines in economies around the world and our beloved Solomon Islands.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock believes that we can make it through these tough times if we go back and cultivate our land. The richness of our land and sea resources guarantees our livelihood and food security.

We are committed to support the growth of our economy through partnership with you all and this is a commitment that we can only deliver with your dedication. Let us be more determined than ever before to work harder.

We are committed to nurture agriculture entrepreneurs who will change the way we do agriculture undertaking in this country of ours by investing in commercial agriculture and livestock development, create more jobs, harness trade and market opportunities, improve the health and lives of our people and build a stronger economy than it is today.

Fellow Solomon Islanders, as you celebrate this Easter, remember to reflect and celebrate with thankfulness the great gift of hope and our reconciliation to God Almighty through our risen Christ. Arise in Christ and shine!

 

May the miracle of Easter bring you renewed hope, faith, love, joy and peace as we work together to develop our Agriculture and Livestock sector.
