JOB VACANCY NOTICE – RE-ADVERTISE

SolTuna Limited is seeking capable and responsible person to join our Engineering & Maintenance Department in Noro, Western Province.

Position: Chief Electrician

Reports to: Plant Engineering & Maintenance Manager

Supervises: Assistant Chief Electrician, Electricians, Apprentice Trade Electricians

Qualification: “A” Grade Licensed Electrician/Solomon Power Licensed holder

Experience: Minimum of 10 years

 

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

•Comply with all working regulations and company policies

•Ensure the Electrical operations of SolTuna run efficiently and effectively daily.

•Ensure all electricians receive necessary support required for smooth operation of all SolTuna plant and equipment.

•Carryout scheduled preventive maintenance on SolTuna’s electrical operations.

•Train and develop all Electrical Section staff and apprentice Electricians to ensure they reach their highest potential.

•Take staff corrective action when needed in consultation with HR if required and ensure problems are addressed in a respectful and dignified manner.

•Maintain costs within budget including adequate and timely availability of spare parts and supplies, minimization of overtime and effective implementation of corrective action plans.

Working Conditions: Must be able to:

•Willing to work Overtime and weekends as needed

•Work under pressure, as a team, and meet deadlines

•Contribute to the development & success of SolTuna

Housing/Accommodation provided if no housing available then allowance of 20% of basic salary paid on fortnightly basis
