VACANCY – ENGINEERING MANAGER
South Pacific Oil Ltd, a 100% subsidiary of the Solomon Islands National Provident Fund, a major oil Company in imports and distributes bulk refined petroleum products.
We would like to recruit a result oriented and competent Engineering Manager to join our senior management team.
Principle areas of responsibility:
Organization -To set the vision, strategy, and long-term goals for the Engineering Department in a manner that is consistent with the South Pacific Oil Organizational structure. To develop, implement, and manage a Permit to Work and Change Management controls and processes. To implement and monitor HSSE programs and initiatives to support the Company’s “Zero Harm” strategy and to develop and review Engineering policies and procedures.
Capital Expenditure – To drive the development and implementation of capital expenditure plans and programmes for the Company which includes designing, costing, implementation according to the budget’s allocation.
Asset Maintenance -To budget and implement engineering assets to achieve appropriate levels of operational integrity and reliability. To assist all departments in maintenance and/or major plant change projects to achieve Asset Management objectives.
Staff Development& Competencies – To raise and enhance the competency skill pool of engineering and other technical staff within the business through training, coaching, development, and recruitment as part of the succession planning.
Procurement -To ensure the proper and efficient operation of the Procurement function with respect to quality, timely and cost-effectiveness of goods and services with the Company’s procurement policies and procedures.
