Solomon Islands Electoral Office: Vacancy Notice

CALL FOR BIOMETRIC VOTER REGISTRATION OBSERVER MISSION 2023

The Solomon Islands Electoral Commission invites interested groups or organizations who wish to observe the Biometric Voter Registration, to submit their interest in writing to the Chief Electoral Officer.

Applications must be in a group or organization as individual applications will not be accepted.

Only the Solomon Islands Electoral Office in consultation with our Provincial Election Offices will accredit observation groups.

Accredited observer groups or organizations will be responsible to fund your own Observerer Logistical Cost.

All observer groups, scrutinizing the Biometric Voter Registration process both international and domestic must adhere to the observer’s mission code of conduct.

All applications must reach the office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Solomon Islands Electoral Office, Vavaea Ridge, by the 14th of August 2023.

Accreditation forms can be requested through the Observer Liaison Officer

If forms are returned by email, please contact the Observer Liaison Officer at the SIEC on 21198/21199 to verify and confirm receipt.

The commission will demonstrate its support towards assisting any key observation in this upcoming BVR process to instill confidence in the conduct of Biometric Voter Registration.
