FULL TERMS OF REFERENCE

1. Background:

Solomon Islands Electoral Office is seeking 20 dedicated and reliable Warehouse Workers to join our team.

The Warehouse Workers will play a crucial role in handling and organizing incoming and outgoing election materials efficiently and safely.

The position demands physical agility, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

2. Responsibilities:

The selected Warehouse Workers will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Sorting, organizing, and packing election materials inventory.

• Loading and unloading election shipments promptly and efficiently.

• Maintaining cleanliness and organization within the warehouse space.

• Assisting with inventory tracking to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

• Operating warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks, while adhering to safety protocols.

• Providing assistance with packing activities as required.

• Collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals effectively.

3. Requirements:

Applicants for the 20 Warehouse Workers – Casual position should meet the following criteria:

• Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred.

• Possess a strong attention to detail and demonstrate the ability to accurately follow instructions.

• Capable of lifting heavy objects and performing physically demanding tasks for extended periods.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to function effectively as part of a team.

• Basic mathematical skills required for inventory tracking purposes.

• Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols and proficiency in operating warehouse equipment.

4. Duration and Working Hours:

The position of Warehouse Worker is a temporary role with the Solomon Islands Electoral Office, with standard working hours to be determined based on the operational needs of the Electoral Office.

The duration of employment will be discussed upon selection.

5. Reporting and Supervision:

The Warehouse Workers will report directly to the designated supervisor or manager in the warehouse department.

Regular feedback and performance evaluations will be provided to ensure optimal performance and professional growth.
