Manasseh Sogavare and Madam Sogavare, Members of Cabinet, Speaker of National Parliament, Chief Justice, Leader of the Opposition, Leader of Independent Group, Members of Parliament, Provincial Premiers and Members of Provincial Assemblies, Heads of State-owned Enterprises, Heads of Private sector entities, Non-Government Organizations, Church leaders, Chiefs and Traditional Leaders, Development partners, Women Leaders, Youth Leaders, Stakeholders in peace and peace-building and all people of Solomon Islands.

HAPPY 45^TH INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

On this auspicious occasion, we wish to recognize the continuous commitment, dedication, and partnership of our political leaders, government officials, church leaders, chiefs, elders, and leaders of our communities for the support rendered in our continuous endeavors to peacebuilding and nation building of our nation Solomon Islands.

Also, for the effort in recognizing and strengthening our traditional governance systems and structures as the basis for building and sustaining peace thus progressing the livelihood of our respective communities and the social and economic development of our country.

We are also indebted to members of the private sector, our development partners, non-government organizations and other peace-building stakeholders for their continuous technical support and assistance to our ministerial programs and that of the broader government – manifesting programs and that of the broader government – manifesting the collective effort and vision in strengthening the foundation of our nation, and for the peace and prosperity of our citizens.

Despite our citizens and the nation’s social and economic developments having gone through, it is heart-full to recognize our continuous positivism and tolerance to keep stand tall and united as a nation despite these hardest times.

We are also thankful to all Solomon Islands for your continuous and untiring contributed efforts and initiatives in the broader peace-building arena of this country.

As we focus on this year 2023 theme “RISING ABOVE AND OVERCOMING OUR CHALLENGES AS ONE PEOPLE”. Let’s work together and unite as One People, One Country for better Solomon Islands.
