Call for Expression of Interest

For the Review and Restructuring of the Water Resource Management Division within the Ministry of Mines, Energy and Rural Electrification, Honiara, Solomon Islands.

The MMERE is one of the technical and resource sector Ministries of the Government of Solomon Islands, which is also responsible for the Water Resources Management of the Country.

Water, as we all know, is critical for sustenance of life and more so for development, and as a natural resource, it has to be managed proactively and sustainably.

For any Country, and the Solomon Islands is no exception, its Water resources are required to be harnessed judiciously to meet the growing needs of our developing economy. Therefore, the development, conservation, and management of water resources are crucial.

In line and in fulfilling the GNUT Intentions and National Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Policy goals, and with the view to effectively implementing and achieving Government Policy, the Water Resource Division under the MMERE has to be strategically organized and positioned to be fit-for-purpose to fulfil the management and accessibility of water to all Solomon Islanders.

With funding support from UNICEF, the MMERE hereby seeks to engage any interested firm and or individuals to submit an Expression of Interest [EOI] to the Ministry for the review and restructuring of the Water Resource Division.

Apart from other important information, your submission should include a quotation in SBD for each of the outputs and an indicated timeframe as to when the outputs can be delivered.

Do note that MMERE is now commencing its next Corporate Planning cycle (2024-2027), thus finalization will have to be done in parallel and in line with the Final Version of the MMERE Corporate Plan 2024 – 2027.

The Scope of Work, the Key deliverables, the deadline for submission, and all related information are spelled out in the Terms of Reference[TOR], which is obtainable from the Ministry.

Administration fee of SBD100.00 is to be paid at MoFT, receipted to MMER, E, and the receipt is expected to be attached to the submission.

The closing date for this is COB on Thursday, 14th November 2024.

Submission (s) received after the closing date will not be accepted.
