Expression of Interest
The Solomon Islands Government, through the Ministry of Infrastructure Development (MID), recognizes and is set to review the existing franchise shipping scheme to ensure it meets the nation’s evolving transport needs, remains financially sustainable, and delivers high-quality service to users.
We are calling for Expression of Interest (EOI) from“Consultancy” service providers for this review for three months which will focus on operational efficiency, financial sustainability, and service quality and satisfaction.
The “Consultancy” should comprise individuals (maximum of 3) with expertise in the following areas:
· Safety standards and regulatory compliance; and,
· Community engagement and social research.
The “Consultancy” will report to the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Infrastructure, providing regular updates and seeking feedback on draft findings. Final recommendations will be presented to the Ministry and key stakeholders to inform the future direction of the shipping franchise.
