2021 has been a challenging year for all of us especially with the ongoing impacts of COVID 19 on the agriculture sector and our economy. Most recently the recent civil unrest of rioting, looting and burning of some of our key business partners and infrastructures in Honiara.

But 2021 is also rewarding as well with the achievement on some of the key agriculture policy priorities of the DCGA government and so, as we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ this festive season let us also reflect on our successes this year with thanksgiving, honoring God for his grace, love and faithfulness throughout 2021.

To our farmers, we at the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock wish to thank you all for your continuous commitment to the growth of agriculture sector in the face of challenges brought about by COVID-19. We are truly humbled to have served you this year and are looking forward to strengthen our determination to improve your lives through greater partnership in year 2022.

To our key development partners, thank you for standing by our government and our ministry, in supporting and delivering of services to our farming communities throughout Solomon Islands. We are looking forward to stronger collaborative efforts in year 2022.
