Inland Revenue Division: Public Notice – Spot Check Teams to Visit Business Premises

PUBLIC NOTICE

SPOT CHECK TEAMS TO VISIT BUSINESS PREMISES

The Inland Revenue Division (IRD) advises that spot check teams will be visiting business premises within Honiara town boundaries/G-province on the Month of October 2025.

The purpose of these visits is to:

• Update incomplete taxpayer contact information
• Confirm physical business locations
• Verify IRD registration status and taxpayer identification Numbers (TIN)
• Follow up on undelivered Provisional Tax Notices

Taxpayers are strongly encouraged to cooperate with the teams by providing accurate and complete information. These visits are part of IRD’s ongoing efforts to ensure fair and efficient tax administration.

During the visits, tax payers may also;

• Ask questions about their tax obligations
• Seek clarification on tax matters
• Update their records with correct information

Spot check team members will carry official identification and will conduct their duties professionally and respectfully.

Your cooperation is essential in helping IRD maintain an accurate and up-to-date taxpayer database.
