VACANCY NOTICE NO: CP1/2024

POST TITLE: SENIOR ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the above post which will become vacant with the establishment of Choiseul Province [Administration Division]

Scope of duties   

The Senior Administration Officer will work collaboratively with other officers in other divisions to manage and ensure a conducive working environment on industrial relations matters, regulations, and training on areas that link to his/her responsibilities.

Duties

[a]   Deal with personnel matters affecting provincial and public service staff posted to the province.

[b]     Help to draw up the Division budget and,

[c]      In consultation with the Head of Division, deal with appointment and discipline of Provincial staff.

[d]      Liaise with relevant stakeholders and parent ministries on all staff training, development, and posting matters and draw up staff development plans for the division.

[e]      Supervision on personnel and office service division to ensure completion of specific tasks and performing appraisals as required under specific and relevant regulations in force.

[f]      Ensure the full and functional operations of the record unit in maintaining personal files and another subject file, sick leave records and personnel record sheets.

[g]      Coordinating field administration tasks through the Assistant Administrative officer at all provincial substations.

[h]      Reporting officer for all administrative personnel matters regarding officers under his direct control.

[i]       Any other duties as may be directed from time to time by the Provincial Secretary.

Basic logistics and procurement knowledge.

Analytical, able to make proper judgments, quick to understand, and consistently sound and reliable.

Good in writing and speaking the English language.

Knowledgeable in report writing, monitoring, and evaluation.

Must display a mature and professional attitude towards work commitment.

Age Limit

          20– 45 years.

Qualification

[a]      Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or Public Administration Management and related fields.

[b]      At least five [5] or more years of experience in a related field is an advantage.

 

Terms and Conditions of Services

[a]      Salary Level           –         7/8
[b]      Annual Salary         –         $48,063.39  –   $54,201.70
[c]     Forth-night             –         $ 1,848.59  –    $  2,084.68
[d]      Annual Leave         –         42 Days
[e]    Housing Allowance –        $227.29       –   $   312.70
