Teaching & Learning Coordinator

The Education Sector Support Program is seeking suitable and highly motivated candidates for a long-term Teaching & Learning(T&L) Coordinator.

This position will be based in Honiara to provide capacity building, mentoring and support to strengthen strategic leadership to manage contracts and support the development and implementation of a learner centered pedagogical framework.

Reporting to the MEHRD’s Deputy Secretary T&L division, and the T&L Adviser, the Coordinator will also support the Director of T&L, Manager for National Examination and Assessment Division(NEAD), and the Heads of the Curriculum and Teacher Professional Development Divisions to:

  1.        Tertiary graduate qualification in education, project management or an alternative relevant field.
  2.  Previous or recent education sector experience in the Solomon Islands, or the Pacific.
  3.  Practical and relevant experience in project management including contract management and procurement processes.
