 Sol2023 XVII PACIFIC GAMES

The 2023 Pacific Games are coming to Solomon Islands.

The Games will be one of the biggest and most exciting events to come to our country since our Independence.

The positions offer the reward of working in our program that will be a once in a generation celebration of sport and culture for the Solomon Islands as we welcome the rest of the Pacific nations to our shores in 2023.

The High-Performance Program, under the NHA, is responsible for establishing and delivering the high-performance sport system in Solomon Islands’.

We partner with National Sports Council and National Federations to provide support to the athletes and coaches through providing access to the Solomon Islands   National Institute of Sport (SINIS) that offers programs and services to assist in their preparation for international sport events and competitions.

 Exciting opportunities to be part of the High-Performance team!

 1.Functional Area: Performance Management team

 Brief Description  

• Must operate with high level of ethics and professional standards.
• Must have experience in leading teams of people and able to grow strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
• High level organizational, people management, strategic and critical thinking skills to support National Federations and their HP plans and programs with a high level of strategy, accountability and adherence to process.

 2.Functional Area: Athlete and Coach Performance support team

 Brief Description:

Looking for people with a high level of work ethic, can operate as part of a team and embrace a ‘serve others’ attitude towards their work.

  A variety of different roles including

• Strength & Conditioning
• Physiotherapy
• Coach development
• Talent identification
• Wellbeing & Lifestyle

You will be required to complete a range of certification to be qualified in the specific role, within a set time period.

Must operate with high level of ethics and professional standards.

 3. Functional Area: Corporate Services team

Brief Description: High level of experience in a range of office management skills to support the administration, finance and HR tasks of the team.

 A variety of different roles including

• HR Administration
• Finance and payroll
• IT

   4.Functional Area: Facility Management team

Brief Description: Experienced and committed to oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility including.

• Lead the highly organized operations team to ensure SINIS facilities are well maintained, clean and safe.
• Work collaboratively with other HP staff, and sporting bodies ensuring the facilities bookings are coordinated.

Must commit to ongoing continuous professional development.
