2025 Christmas Message : From the Honourable Health Minister, Hon. Dr Paul Bosawai

As we celebrate Christmas and the festive season, I want to wish you all God’s peace, goodwill and happiness during this special time of the year. 

As customary, Christmas is the season where we acknowledge the humble birth of our Jesus Christ, who was born in a manger, and at the same time, when we seek to spend quality time with colleagues, friends and families.

While the majority of us will be celebrating with our loved ones, our healthcare workers will be in our health facilities taking care of the sick,  providing the necessary health services to our people around the country.

Despite the many challenges faced in the past year, I am grateful for the tremendous gains and successes that the Ministry has made, and I want to reassure everyone that the Ministry of Health remains committed to our goals and to providing quality health care to our people.

I want to use this opportunity to thank all my staff and health workers around the country for their hard work and for going beyond the call ofduty. 

I also want to thank our line Ministries, Development Partners, and all Stakeholders for their support throughout the year, and I look forward to our continued and genuine partnership in 2026.

As we reflect on the true meaning of Christmas, may your festivities and celebrations be filled with love, joy, and good health.

Let’s all look forward to continuing to work as Team Health in the New Year with renewed purpose.
