RE-ADVERTISEMENT – Expression of Interest for Job Opportunities at Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (AIM-N PROJECT)
The Agriculture Investment for Markets and Nutrition(AIM-N) Project is a government-led initiative implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAL) with co-financing from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
The project aims to enhance food security, nutrition, and rural livelihoods by promoting inclusive, climate-resilient, and nutrition-sensitive agricultural development in the Solomon Islands.

Key interventions include improving market systems, empowering women through targeted grant schemes, and facilitating better access to finance for smallholder farmers, farmers’ organizations (FOs), and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises(MSMEs) in the agriculture and agribusiness sectors.
We are readvertising the positions of Monitoring& Evaluation and Knowledge Management Manager, Gender Transformative Grant Manager, and Rural Finance Specialist to join our Project Management Unit (PMU) in Honiara. Highly qualified and experienced professionals with experts in these areas with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply.
Eligibility Criteria
Monitoring & Evaluation and Knowledge Management Manager
Advanced university degree in Project Management, Rural development, Agricultural Economics, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least five (5) years of relevant professional experience in Monitoring and Evaluation, Knowledge Management, and/or results-based project management, ideally within donor-funded projects.
Strong skills in developing and operationalizing M&E systems and logical
Experience with Management Information Systems (MIS), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and digital data collection tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical software(e.g., SPSS, STATA, Excel, or similar).
Gender Transformative Grant Manager
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, rural development, gender studies, or a related
At least three (3) years of practical experience in managing grants, small-scale projects, or community-driven development initiatives.
Proven experience in agriculture, rural development, or women’s economic empowerment projects.
Budgeting and financial management experience, including familiarity with procurement
Rural Finance Specialist
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Banking, or related fields. Advanced qualifications such as an MBA, CPA certification, or technical degrees in agribusiness, agronomy, or natural resource management are advantageous.
At least (5) years of professional experience in rural finance, credit facilitation, and financial product development
Experience working with rural finance institutions, development banks, or donor-funded
Strong understanding of agricultural lending, credit guarantee schemes, risk management, and private sector partnerships.
